Don’t Miss Out On Your Teenage Years Because Of The Pandemic!

Don’t Miss Out On Your Teenage Years Because Of The Pandemic!

2020 has been one hell of a roller coaster for all of us.  The pandemic changed everything, and life as we know it will never be the same. From our daily routines to our plans, COVID 19 changed everything within a month of its arrival. Everyone, regardless of status, class, religion, race, or nationality, had to make adjustments.

The whole world is living in a global lockdown. We can no longer go out care-free. We have to sanitize, wear masks, and social distance to make this world a safe place for everyone else. This new normal hasn’t been easy, and it’s taking a toll on everyone, especially teenagers.

Are Their Prime Years Wasted?

They have it the hardest in the current situation. In a time where they should be enjoying their prime years having fun with their friends, they’re forced to stay home and social distance. This took a huge toll on their mental health, along with others.

Teenagers living in 2020 are more vulnerable to mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and mental distress. This time is primary for their character development, yet teenagers are suffering silently within the confines of 4 walls. While many people are suffering through this phase hand in hand due to unemployment, poverty, health problems, and economic collapse, this year was critical for teenagers’ transition into adulthood.

Not only has quarantine drained out all the motivation and productivity they have, but it’s keeping teenagers from opportunities that would’ve shaped them into better people. One of the reasons teenagers find it hard to adapt to the new normal is that they crave social interactions. They crave social interactions and physical connections.

With everything shifting to the internet online, an average teenager’s productivity is at an all-time low. However, if we think about it, no matter how many downsides the pandemic has bought upon the teenagers, there’s always a silver lining shining through. Self-isolation is an art. And if you’re getting the chance to learn it at an early age, you’re lucky.

Finding peace in your solitude and living with yourself happily should be the end goal for every human being. If teenagers learn this in such times, they’re doing their future selves a huge favor.

There are a million ways to find happiness and peace in isolation. We’ve listed down the easiest and fastest way to stay productive and busy in isolation.

Follow A Schedule

Let’s face it; no one likes a cramped schedule. You’ll drain all your energy in a single task, be so exhausted, and you won’t find any time to breathe. We recommend making a daily schedule to highlight your tasks to do in order of priority, so you don’t lose focus on what’s important and lose the deadline.

The goal is to achieve all your daily goals, stress-free! Do the important tasks first and then continue with the day-to-day tasks. This way, you’ll be able to focus completely on the task at hand and still make time for yourself. A strict routine allows you to do every task with full motivation and productivity, so you don’t end up wasting half your day doing useless things.

A  Breath Of Fresh Air Is Important

Human beings aren’t designed to stay in a confined space forever. We start getting uncomfortable and irritated.  As said before, we crave social connections. But when a pandemic pushes you to stay indoors for you and your family’s safety, you can’t be ignorant.

With that said, natural air and nature are super important for a person’s mental and physical health. a breath of fresh, crisp air can do wonders for your mind and body, which is why outdoor activities work brilliantly. However, with the ongoing pandemic, conducting any outdoor activity with the ongoing pandemic means implementing all SOPs and taking complete care at all times.

Maintain social distance, keep your face covered and hands sanitized when you go for a walk, a jog, a basketball match, or a peaceful picnic at the park. No interactions and 0 human contacts can shut down the brain’s ability to power efficiently. A breath of fresh air can do the trick!
